THIRROUL COMMUNITY GARDEN - FREE KIDS WORKSHOPS!
Wednesdays 9am-10am, February 2017
Come and join us for a FREE science & gardening based playgroup for kids at:
Thirroul Community Garden
- Discover insects and birds
- Feed the resident chooks
- Identify flowers, veggies and other plants and trees
- Learn all about compost
- Meet some worms :)
Please bring:
* Water to drink
* A sun hat
* A piece of fruit to share
* A small garden shovel for digging
Conrad has lectured at university in Early Childhood Science and specialises in the “Outdoor Classroom”. He also works at Wollongong City Council co-ordinating the Street Parade and Community Stage at Viva la Gong. He is passionate about gardening, science and is the education co-ordinator for the gardens.
Jessica is a local Mum and active community member who is passionate about the environment and the Arts.
* Please wear appropriate covered foot wear when visiting the garden, boots or joggers – NO sandals or thongs.
